“The Walking Dead” ratings drop to an all-time low.
Sunday‘s episode “Omega” averaged a 1.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which is down 15% from the prior week’s midseason premiere and below the show’s previous all-time low of 1.8 last fall.
This week also had the fewest viewers with 4.54 million people tuning in. That is down 12% from last week and less than the previous historic low of 4.71 million for the show’s second episode in 2010.
That said, the episode aired against the NBA All-Star Game, which may account for the show’s historic low-point. Also, “The Walking Dead” is the most watched non-sports show on cable and has already been picked up for a 10th season to air this fall.
