RATINGS: Emmys’ Hit All Time Low

Despite having one of the most diverse award shows in television , it seems as though men and women across the country could care less about who received Outstanding actor in a drama as the ratings for The Emmys have hit a new low, pulling in 11.3 million viewers last night.

According to Nielsen, ratings for the 2016 Emmys have dropped from last year's 11.9 million overall audience numbers on Fox. Unfortunately, for and the crew behind this year's Emmys ratings have slipped 5%.

However, all is not . 25.9 million unique viewers tuned in to watch at least some of the Emmys for at least six minutes. However, ABC needed audiences to stay around for three primetime hours.

Meanwhile on , the Emmys generated 2.7 social media interactions on Facebook and Twitter, according to Nielsen.
