MADtv is returning to television on The CW.
Sketch comedy series MADtv will return to television nine years after the series was cancelled. According to Deadline, the new series reboot will air as a eight hour-long prime time episodes on the CW.
The original version of MADtv earned the series an Emmy and 14 seasons on Fox and has helped launched the careers of Key & Peele creators Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, Family Guy voice star Alex Borstein, and The Mindy Project actor Ike Barinholtz. And the show’s original executive producer David E. Salzman will return in the same movie role.
