Two New North Carolina Shows to Bring Over 2,000 New Jobs

Two upcoming , North Carolina TV shows are the first productions to receive funding from the state’s film grant program this year.

According to Star , TNT’s Good Behavior and ‘s military drama “Six,” were approved to receive funding from North Carolina’s film grant program. for both TV shows will start filming in early March.

They are the first programs accepted into the program since the North Carolina General Assembly voted to infuse the program with $30 million a year for each of the next two years.

In order to qualify for the program, TV shows must spend at least $1 million an episode. Based on its estimated qualified in-state spending, the project can receive up to 25 percent back from the state.

The productions will only receive the funding once filming is finished and a state audit is conducted.

Good Behavior features Downtown Abbey’s Michelle Dockery. The show was approved for $6.6 million in funding. The show is based on the Letty Dobesh book , Good Behavior will follow the con-artist as she falls in love with a hitman.

The TV pilot filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina in October and will shoot an additional nine .

Producers anticipate local 105 crew members and at least 1,000 , according to the application. Filming is expected to last through June.

Six is a drama following the professional lives of Navy SEAL Team Six. The show was approved for $7.2 million in state funding, with an estimated $28.8 million qualified spending.

The eight-episode series will hire $210 local crew members and approximately 1,400 background extras.
