Fox is Creating an ‘Exorcist’ TV Series

Fox has just ordered a TV pilot for a ‘Exorcist‘ the TV series.

According to reports, Fox has ordered an adaptation of the 1971 book to TV series.

A modern reboot based on the William Blatty’s original book, The Exorcist, is being converted into a psychological thriller following two different men trying to solve one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession, and going face to face with true evil.

The show will be developed by Fantastic Four writer, Jeremy Slater and executive produced by James Robinson, David Robinson and Barbara Wall. This is not the first time Fox has turned a popular movie into a TV show. Recently, Minority Report was released but ratings were so bad that Fox was forced to cancel the series after only a few episodes.

The Exorcist movie hit theaters in 1973 and went on to gross more than $232 million at the box office.
