Fear the Walking Dead will film in Mexico.
As production starts on the second season of Fear The Walking Dead, AMC has announced that a large majority of season 2 will be filmed in Mexico.
Season one was set in Los Angeles, which was primarily filmed in Vancouver and small scenes in Los Angeles but, the show’s focus will be shifting into a new area and the change of venue will be coming soon.
According to OLV, Fear the Walking Dead will film in Baja Studios in Mexico, which was used for several major motion pictures including Titanic, Master and Commander and other water movies. Fear the Walking Dead will return in the spring of 2016 with 15 new episodes.
“We are thrilled to be starting production and even more thrilled to be shooting in Mexico. Baja Studioshas been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the ‘Fear’ saga. We couldn’t be happier,” said executive producer Dave Erickson.
Fear the Walking Dead takes place before The Walking Dead at the start of the zombie apocalypse. The show highlights the confusion, fights, and hysteria around the beginning of The Walking Dead.
