Following the success of American Crime Story Ryan Murphy is already working on the next seasons of the show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Murphy has his eyes set on the TV portrayal of the Bill Clinton sex scandal and is now meeting with actresses to play Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp.
Producers and studio executives have optioned author Jeffrey Toobin’s 2000 best seller A Vast Conspiracy: The Real Sex Scandal That Nearly Brought Down a President as the material behind the TV version of events.
Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson was the inspiration behind the award winning first season of American Crime Story.
In case you did not know, Lewinsky claimed to have intimate relations with Bill Clinton from November 1995 to March 1997. The scandal would lead to impeachment hearings. Ultimately, Clinton was acquitted by the Senate, while the charges of perjury and abuse of power did not pass the house.
