Atlanta’s The Vampire Diaries, Sleepy Hollowand The Originals are on the verge of getting cancelled due to poor ratings.

TV execs are strongly considering cancelling three filmed . According to TVLine.com, The Diaries, Sleepy Hollow and The  are “on the bubble” of getting cancelled. Apparently, the ratings for these three TV shows have struggled in the past few months.

The Vampire Diaries

In , once a show’s schedule is moved to Friday it is sent to “Friday-Night-Purgatory” which means TV execs are strongly considering cancelling the show unless DVR and ratings increase. For example, according to TVLine Sleepy Hollow suffered a double-digit decline and Fox quickly moved the once popular TV series to Friday.

The same thing happened to CW’s The Originals and The In fact, once Nina Dobrev quit the TV series to on major motion , ratings for The Vampire Diaries have not quite recovered. “The one time CW smash has fallen on hard times. Despite creative resurgence, ratings are down sans Nina Dobrev and, beginning in January, it’s moving to the Cancellation Waiting Room known as Friday nights.” TVLine also suggests that if The Vampire Diaries gets cancelled so will The Originals. “And we have to imagine if The CW is going to save one of the two shows, it’s not going to be the lower-rated, less popular offshoot.”
