TLC cancels ’19 Kids and Counting’ after Josh Duggar admits to sexually molesting his sisters and minors.
TLC has cancelled ’19 Kids and Counting’ after it was revealed that the family’s oldest son allegedly molested five underage girls 12 years ago when he was a teenager.
Rumors circulated earlier this week agains Josh Duggar. But Duggar said in a statement to People the following:
“Twelve years ago, as a young teenager, I acted inexcusably for which I am extremely sorry and deeply regret. I hurt others, including my family and close friends,” Duggar said in a statement to People. “I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation. We spoke with the authorities where I confessed my wrongdoing, and my parents arranged for me and those affected by my actions to receive counseling. I understood that if I continued down this wrong road that I would end up ruining my life.”
The fact that the incidents came to the attention of law enforcement several years it ago it begs the question about whether TLC or Discovery Network executives were aware of Josh Duggar’s past when the series was filming.
