Warner Bros. is currently developing ‘The Fugitive’ reboot
Warner Bros. has put into development a new installment of ‘The Fugitive’. According to Deadline, the studio has hired legendary writer Christina Hodson to write the production.
Arnold and Anne Kopelson will produce the project, but there are no details suggesting whether or not Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones will be coming back for the sequel.
‘The Fugitive’ was a hit action film based on the 1960s TV series of the same name. ‘The Fugitive’ centered around a man who was wrongfully convicted for the murder of his wife, Dr. Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) escapes from police custody and is declared a fugitive. He sets out to prove his innocence and brings those who were responsible to justice while being pursued by a team of U.S. Marshals, led by Deputy Samuel Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones).
‘The Fugitive’ made nearly $400 million in the box office with only a budget of $44 million. ‘The Fugitive’ was nominated for seven Academy Awards including Best Picture. Tommy Lee Jones won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
