The Big Short starring Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling, and Christian Bale will film in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Ever since the news broke that Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale will star in a movie together, fans have been trying to figure out where the new movie will be filmed. Well, according to reports, the new Michael Lewis movie adaptation of The Big Short: Inside the Doomsday Machine, will be filmed in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Last week, New Orleans-based caterer Cristie Schoen tweeted that she had lined up her next big job, working on set of The Big Short. While there is still no details or confirmation from Louisiana Entertainment or the New Orleans Film Office, it is safe to say that Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Christian Bale are headed to New Orleans this spring.
The Big Short centers around the housing and credit bubble during the 2000s that led to the financial crisis of 2007-2010.
This will make the fourth movie Brad Pitt has filmed in New Orleans. Pitt has filmed The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Killing Them Softly, and 12 Years a Slave.
Filming for The Big Short is expected to start filming in late March. Stay tuned for casting calls, and job opportunities.
