Have you ever wondered what it’s really like to be a model? Of course you have. Well your prayers have been answered in this hilarious new Instagram page called **** Model Management.
Two real-life models post memes that finally show the world what it’s like to be a model outside of all the glitz and glamour.
The Instagram account was launched just two weeks ago and already has 20,000 followers. Run by two unknown models who won’t reveal their identities, the page posts funny memes about what it’s like to be a working model.
The models behind it, who live in New York City, make jokes about the unglamorous living conditions and tiny paychecks. They express their frustrations with impossible standards, high expectations, and wanting to work alongside Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. For example, the unknown models offer insight on everything from “model apartments” – where crowds of aspiring models sleep in a small shared space, often in bunk bends – the unrealistic expectations of photographers, talent agencies and designers.

The models, who go by H and S, who started the Instagram page spoke to Fashionista.com about how they got started. They met while living in a model apartment alongside six other girls in NYC, where they bonded and became best friends.
‘This job has a way of making you feel lonely even if you’re surrounded by people, so you need a person to be there for you through it all,’ said H. ‘Being able to laugh about the ridiculous things that we go through each day makes it all easier.’
And while many people may think that the Instagram posts are all fun and games, the girls say that maintaining the account allows them to vent about what’s upsetting them without damaging their modeling career.
“In our industry, there is a crazy amount of frustration that you cannot express unless you want to ruin your career,’ S explained. ‘Until you are “a someone,” your opinion or preference doesn’t really matter.”
‘The idea that a model somewhere can see that she’s not alone in what she is feeling could be lifesaving. We don’t want anyone to feel alone, or like they are less of a person because of the things we go through as models. People outside of the industry typically don’t get it.’
The models even point out that Instagram has become extremely important for models in the fashion industry. “Ironically, Instagram in itself is a huge area of stress for models. We are expected to have a certain number of followers and a certain number of likes,” explained S.
