A new Star Wars: Episode IX casting call has gone out and producers are looking for a female lead by the name of Caro.
According to reports, Lucasfilm is in the final preparations to begin filming on the final movie in the trilogy. Director J.J. Abrams is returning to finish the franchise he started with a script written by himself and Chris Terrio. As has become standard practice for new Star Wars installments, it looks like Episode IX is set to add some fresh faces to the franchise. According to That Hashtag Show, producers are looking for an “ethnic female” in the age range of 18 to 26 years of age. There is a reported preference of an African-American actress to land the role. Among the types, producers are looking include actors that have “captivating naturalness” and is “A leader and problem solver. She also has a sense of humor and “Strong will”. Who lands the role will be a topic of great interest. Historically for young lead roles such as this one, Star Wars traditionally picks up relatively unknown actors. Filming will begin in July.
