Why Screech and Lisa Didn’t Go to the ‘Saved By the Bell’ Reunion on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon surprised fans of Saved By the Bell when he brought together the entire cast on Wednesday for a reunion sketch. Two actors were noticeably absent though – where were Lisa and Screech?
A represenative for Lark Voorhies, the actress who played Lisa in the TV series explained her absence to The Hollywood Reporter.
“Lark would have loved to be part of the [Fallon sketch],” replied Jennifer Wolfson in a statement. “However due to an intense work schedule she was not available.”
Wolfson did not elaborate on Voorhies’ work schedule, but did say that the actress is a “big fan” of Fallon’s Tonight Show.
Dustin Diamond, who played the role of Samuel “Screech” Powers in the 90s sitcom, has had some legal trouble lately, which may have led to his absence. He was arrested back in December for allegedly stabbing a man, which actually happened days after he did a Saved By the Bell spoof.
