‘Saturday Night Live’ Casts Their First Hispanic Latina Member

Saturday Night Live announced on Monday three new cast additions for their 42nd season.

SNL decided to cast Mikey Day, Alex Moffat and, the program’s first-ever Latina cast member, Melissa Villaseñor.

  1. Horatio Sanz, who was Chilean-American
  2. Fred Armisen, whose mother is Venezuelan.

Villaseñor was a competitor on America’s Got Talent in 2011 and has voiced characters on Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time.

The new cast members will replace Jay Pharoah, Taran Killam and Jon Rudnitsky.

Season 42 of Saturday Night Live will premiere on October 1st.
