Fans have been desperately waiting for the next chapter in Sarah Jessica Parker’s hit HBO series, Sex and the City, now the actress explained that while she and the team behind Sex and the City have a storyline line for a third movie, there are no plans to do so in the immediate future.
From The Hollywood Reporter:
Interviewing Parker about her shoe collection, which debuted at New York Fashion Week, Matt Lauer pointed out the rumors about a third film that pop up seemingly whenever Parker does or says anything, asking “What is the final decision on this?”
Parker: “There is no decision. It is a not-often-had conversation. I know well and Michael Patrick knows well the story we might tell if we ever tell it, but the real truth, and I’m not being cagey, is we’ve not discussed a when.”
In response to Lauer summarizing her remarks as “it’s not front burner, it’s not back burner,” Parker elaborated, “There’s no oven, no table that it sits on, no burners.”
Sarah Jessica Parker added, “It’s such a hard question to answer because everybody reads and projects so much into what I say. There is a story. When and if we tell it remains unknown. Is that clear?”
We are more likely to get a Golden Girls reunion movie before we see the cast of Sex and The City reunite in a sequel.
