Ryan Reynolds wants his daughter to have a normal job like a “burista” or “flight attendant”
Ryan Reynolds is a new father but, he is already thinking about what kind of future he wants for his daughter and it’s not in the entertainment industry.
Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, welcoemd daughter James in December 2014 and recently the couple have been adamant about protecting their daughter from the media.
In an interview with NBC’s ‘Today’, Reynolds confirmed his daughter’s name and pointed out his worries about her pursing an acting career.
From The Hollywood Reporter:
“I worry that my daughter’s going to want to go into show business,” Reynolds said. “You worry about really stupid stuff.”
He went on to say that he drops career hints in his daughter’s ear — literally. “I like to whisper in her ear really normal, everyday jobs: ‘You’re going to be a flight attendant. A barista,’ ” Reynolds said. “Just normal, wonderful jobs. You can have a nice, normal life.”
Aside from showbiz in a general sense, Reynolds also has more particular concerns: “I do not want my daughter to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, although I imagine it’s an exciting job.”
