#Richonne Goes Viral After Sunday Night’s ‘Walking Dead’ Episode

Date:

The Walking Dead’s latest episode made social media go crazy.

Throughout the six seasons of The Walking Dead, there have been several shocking twists and turns, but almost all of them have been violent, shocking and downright depressing. The Walking Dead, after all, is a show that pushes the limits on violence and death. In fact, if there’s one critique about the show, it’s often really depressing. It centers around a world filled with dead people surrounded by people about to die.

It’s been a long time, in fact, since the show has had a happy moment. There have certainly been moments of relief, but there’s been little reason to smile while watching The Walking Dead, maybe since Judith was reunited with Rick and Carl. However, that changed on Sunday, when Rick and Michonne hooked up in the middle of a fairly boring episode, by The Walking Dead standards.

Fans have been pitching Rick and Michonne for a couple for several years now, but the idea that the two of them might end up together seemed like a dim and distant possibility. Rick had either been grieving over Lori or in love with essie, so it came as a huge surprise to most fans when the two ended up sleeping together.

This prompted #Richonne and it went viral in a matter of seconds.

While many people on Twitter agreed with the new relationship, many people hated it.
