Producers are getting ready for an “Olympus Has Fallen” sequel.
Focus Features has recently acquired the rights to London Has Fallen, the sequel to last year’s action movie Olympus Has Fallen.
Focus Features plans on releasing the movie on October 2, 2015. Gerard Butler is expected to return in the sequel.
According to Deadline, the sequel will pick up where it was left off in London, where the British Prime Minister has died under a mysterious circumstance. His funeral is a must-attend event for world leaders of the Western World. But, as everyone attends the funeral there is a plan to assassinate the world leaders. Only three people can save the day, the President of the United States, his Secret Service leader, and an English MI-6 agent who doesn’t trust anyone.
Olympus Has Fallen made $98.9 million in the box office when it was released in March of last year.
