NBC has just handed out another early renewal as the network announced The Blacklist will be back for a fourth season.
Creator Jon Bokenkamp told reporters on Monday, “We knew about that a while ago, it’s one of those things that’s hard to keep quiet. But yes, we’re renewed through the fourth season,” Bokenkamp said in “The Blacklist: Exposed,” a podcast interview. “Hopefully we don’t tank that out, we got a lot of story to tell.”
NBC knows what they want this year. NBC has given another season to several TV shows including Chicago Fire and Chicago PD.
Blacklist’s ratings have taken a hit this year. Now, what used to be the network’s most watched series on Monday nights now comes behind The Voice, and Blindspot.
The Blacklist centers around a former government agent Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader) has eluded capture for decades. But he suddenly surrenders to the FBI with an offer to help catch a terrorist under the condition that he speaks only to Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Megan Boone), a young FBI profiler who’s just barely out of Quantico.
