Have you ever wondered, How Much Is an Oscar Statue Actually Worth? Apparently, the statues are only gold-plated and are worth $629. But, you can’t actually sell one. While Oscar recipients can keep the statue for as long as they want they must sell it to the Academy for $10 if they want to give it up. A law implemented in 1950 prohibits the sale of Oscars, stating that all winners must sign a contract after receiving one.
