MTV’s ‘SCREAM’ Reboot to Film in Atlanta

MTV’s SCREAM reboot is moving production from Los Angeles to Atlanta, Georgia.

Georgia is now the number 1 filming location for both film and TV productions and now MTV is getting in on the film tax credits and moving its SCREAM remake to Atlanta for its third season.

The new season premieres this March 2018 and stars Tyga, the ex-boyfriend of reality star Kylie Jenner, and C.J. Wallace, the son of legendary actor The Notorious B.I.G. and Faith Evans.

Queen Latifah will executive produce the season for Flavor Unit Entertainment. The show’s additional producers include Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gately, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad.

This news comes after on location filming in Los Angeles, California hit a new low.

According to reports, location filming for movies in Los Angeles fell by 35% in the first three months of 2017, which is bad news considering LA once had an increase of filming by 25% towards the end of 2016.
