‘World War Z 2’s Director Has Just Quit!

Juan Antonio Bayona has just left as the director of the to World War Zaccording to reports.

Bayona started his film career in Spain and sparked Hollywood’s attention with his movie The Orphanage, The Impossible and the most recent movie A Monster Calls featuring Felicity Jones, Liam Neeson, and Toby Kebbell for Focus Features.

But, the sequel to World War Z is now for a new director as Juan Antonio Bayona has left the Paramount and production. Brad Pitt is reprising his lead role as the man who knows how to fight . The studio have a script that was written by Steven Knight and later rewritten by Dennis Kelly. However, Bayona’s quick exit from the movie is being blamed on timing, according to Deadline.

The studio is expected to finish the movie by June 9, 2017 and Bayona felt like he needed more time to film his new movie, A Monster Calls. The studio confirmed Bayona’s departure by saying, “Bayona is no longer able to make World War Z 2 this year, and it is our ambition to do so. He is a wonderful director and we hope to work with him soon.”

World War Z is used to challenges and problems. In fact, redrafted and shot a new ending for the first movie. It escalated the budget to over $200 million. However, it did extremely well in the box office earning $540 million.
