Seth Rogen To Produce ‘Where’s Waldo’ Live Action Movie

Date:

Seth Rogen is going to make a Where’s Waldo movie.

Just when you think Hollywood is done rebooting your favorite childhood memories; Seth Rogen is producing a Where’s Waldo movie.

According to Yahoo! Movies, Seth Rogen is going to produce a live action “Where’s Wally” feature film.

From Yahoo! Movies:

A live action film based on Martin Handford’s hugely popular children’s book series ‘Where’s Wally?’ (known as ‘Where’s Waldo?’ in America and Canada) is being developed at MGM with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg set to produce.

The Tracking Board reports Rogen and Goldberg’s production company Grey Point Pictures has been tasked with bringing the series to life after the project stalled several times at other studios. One early version of the script is said to have featured Wally travelling back through time to find his love interest Wilma.

It’s not clear yet who will play Wally but assuming Seth Rogen’s track record it will most likely be Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Where’s Wally books, first published in the 1980s, featured large detailed hand drawn illustrations spread across double pages that challenge readers to find Wally in his distinctive red and white striped outfit and thick black glasses amongst hundreds and thousands of other people.

He’s often seen with a ton of other characters including his dog Woof, Wizard Whitebeard and his nemesis Odlaw.

The movie has been in development for a while, so it’s nice to see this movie finally in production.

What do you think? Is this a good idea? Share with us your thoughts in the comments below!
