Ocean’s 8 cast is nearly official with Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, and Sandra Bullock making a part of the cast.
The cast for the upcoming Ocean’s 11 female reboot is finally shaping up. According to reports, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Nora Lum and Mindy Kaling, will join Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett in a movie titled Ocean’s 8.
Apparently, all of the talent deals are in their final negotiations with Warner Bros and filming is set to begin this October.
Last June, the movie’s director Gary Ross described the movie as a sequel to Steven Soderbergh’s Ocean’s Eleven trilogy, which featured George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle and Julia Roberts.
“It’s a pretty similar tone. You know, Steven Soderbergh and I are incredibly close friends, and we would not have done this if we weren’t. I don’t think he would’ve wanted anyone to do it if we weren’t. This is very much an extension and a continuation,” Ross told Slashfilm.
