Michael Bay has signed on to produce a live-action Dora The Explorer movie.
The director behind Bad Boys and Transformers is switching gears to bring the beloved Nickelodeon children series a new spin, following a teenaged Dora, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While the script is still a secret, the film will reportedly center around Dora and her cousin Diego moving to a big city. The project has been in the works since 2015 and Paramount is planning to release the movie in 2019.
Michael Bay has previously turned iconic childhood series into feature films including Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
