Jack Black and Kevin Hart officially join the cast of the Jumanji remake.
Earlier this week, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, took to Instagram to discuss how his new movie, Jumanji, will pay tribute to Robin Williams and he also teased big casting announcements were also coming soon. With rumors circulating that Johnson’s Central Intelligence co-star Kevin Hart would be joining the cast, the actor made something of a surprise announcement, not only confirming Hart’s role in the reboot, but also revealing that comedian Jack Black would also join the cast. Jack Black will be reuniting with Jake Kasdan, the director of Jumanji and the director of the 2002 movie Orange County, which also featured Jack Black.
The casting news came from The Wrap, with initial reports suggesting Jack Black was merely in talks to join the movie. However, Johnson made the news of Black and Hart joining the cast official on Instagram.
But, this begs the question – what role will Jack Black, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart play in the reboot. In addition, given Jake Kasdan’s past of risque movies such as Bad Teacher, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, and Sex Tape, are producers looking to create an R-Rated Jumanji movie?
Jumanji hits theaters on July 28 2017.
