New details about the upcoming Fast and Furious 9 movie have been released.
Fast and Furious 9 was supposed to hit theaters on April 2021. But, due to the Coronavirus COVID-19, the movie’s release date was pushed back.
Recently, actress Michelle Rodriguez revealed the upcoming movie will take Dominic Toretto to outer space.
When asked about Ludacris’ comments about the movie, Rodriguez said: “Oh, no way. How did you guys find that out? See what happens? People start talking behind the scenes, man. When a movie doesn’t come out and forget about it, things get out. Nobody was supposed to know that!”
The film will star Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, Sung Kang, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron.
Following the events of The Fate of the Furious (2017), Dominic Toretto and his family must face Dominic’s younger brother Jakob, a deadly assassin, who is working with their old enemy Cipher, and who holds a personal vendetta against Dominic.
Filming began on June 24, 2019, at Leavesden Studios in Hertfordshire, England. Principal photography also took place in Los Angeles, Edinburgh, and London, and also took place in Thailand for the first time, with Krabi, Ko Pha-ngan, and Phuket used as locations. Part of the film was also shot in Tbilisi, Georgia. Filming wrapped on November 11, 2019.
