‘Dora The Explorer’ Movie Hits Theaters in 2019

Dora the Explorer‘ is hitting theaters  in 2019

Dora the Explorer is one of the longest-running shows of Nick Jr. During the sixth season, the show became the Nick Jr. series with the most episodes, surpassing Blue’s Clues with 143 episodes, having 144 after it had completed broadcasting on television. It ended on June 5, 2014 after 8 seasons and 172 episodes.

Earlier this year, it was announced a live-action movie version of the series is in the works at Paramount Pictures Its screenplay will be written by Nick Stoller with Andrew Form and Brad Fuller producing. Unlike the TV series, the film is expected to follow the title character as a teenager. The film will be produced in association with director Michael Bay’s production company, though Bay himself will not be involved with the film.
