The next Avengers movie hits theaters next year and Chris Hemsworth, who plays Thor, has just finished filming his reshoot scenes in Atlanta, Georgia.
While these reshoots may not seem like a big deal, fans have discovered that this could be the last time Hemsworth plays the iconic character, seeing his contract with the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ended. Over on Reddit, fans have begun speculating why Hemsworth’s time on set was so short, either suggesting he did not have many scenes to shoot or that his time as Thor is now ending since his contract is finished.
After filming, Hemsworth stated via his Instagram Stories as he was heading back to the set of Men in Black 3. Along with Evangeline Lilly, who plays The Wasp, also wrapped her reshoots. Tessa Thompson was also spotted on set, hinting Valkyrie could make an appearance in the sequel.
The untitled Avengers 4 movie is set to be released on May 3, 2019, while Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019. In related news, casting directors have posted casting calls looking for actors to work as photo doubles, stand-ins and background extras on Avengers 4 in Atlanta, Georgia.
