A secret actress reveals the horrible truth surrounding sex scenes in Hollywood.
In order to prepare for the movie Fifty Shades of Grey, Jamie Dornan visited sex dungeons in order to get into character. “I went there, they offered me a beer, and they did … whatever they were into. I saw a dominant with one of his two submissives,” he says.
Dornan explained that he was completely professional and enjoyed the experience. “I was like, ‘Come on, guys. I know I’m not paying for this, but I am expecting a show.’ It was an interesting evening. Then going back to my wife and newborn baby afterwards … I had a long shower before touching either of them.”
While Dornan had a positive experience, an Oscar and Golden Globe nominated actress is revealing the disgusting truth behind sex scenes in the film industry. In a new article posted on The Guardian, one female actress, who has decided to remain anonymous, has described her most difficult and embarrassing sex scenes and explains the filmmaking process is not all that it cracks up to be. The secret actress begins by saying: “If there is anything creepier than simulating sex with someone you’ve a) just met or b) been friends with for a long time and whose wife and kids you’ve holidayed with, it is the way in which it is treated on a set.”
Having sex for a movie or TV show with someone you like is tempting but, doing it with someone you dislike is completely awkward.
I have to say that pretending to have sex with someone you fancy is still painfully embarrassing, but pretending to have sex with someone you do not like in the slightest is downright awful. During the initial choreographing of one particular sex scene with an actor I really didn’t get along with, I volunteered the idea of him pressing me up against a wall and doing it from behind largely so I wouldn’t have to look at his smug, straining exertions.
This also worked another time when an actor had profound halitosis. I managed, on that project, to make NOT kissing him an actual theme. The director thought it added a “layer”. I say, do what you must.
This secret actress is not alone. Dave Franco opened up about filming a sex scene and he said it can be pretty embarrassing. “You have 20 crew members who are also watching you do it, and of course, for me, I woke up that morning and had a giant pimple on my ass! I had to go to the make-up artist, who I had also met that week, ‘Can we go into the other room and you’ll put make-up, literally, on my ass?’”
While it’s hard to guess who this secret actress is, we can all assume that filming a sex scene for a movie or TV show definitely has it’s disadvantages.
