Michael Strahan Joins Channing Tatum in ‘Magic Mike XXL’

Michael Strahan Joins the Cast and Crew of ‘Magic Mike XXL’ as a male stripper.

Michael Strahan is making his way to the big screen screen. The ex-NFL star, NFL commentator, and current co-host on Live With Kelly and Michael announced today that he will make an appearance in the Magic Mike sequel that is set to hit theaters on July 1, 2015.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Strahan will join the cast and crew as a stripper in the upcoming feature film.

Filming is currently taking place in Savannah, Georgia and producers are constantly seeking extras to appear in the movie.

‘Magic Mike XXL’ will also feature Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Alex Pettyfer and Gabriel Iglesias. Amber Heard and Jada Pinkett Smith also have joined the cast.

Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh is returning as editor and cinematographer using his false names Mary Ann Bernard and Peter Andrews, respectively.
