In case you missed it- Michael Douglas Discusses his Son in Emmy Speech:

It was no surprise that Michael Douglas took home the Emmy for best actor in a miniseries. Douglas took home the Emmy for his hit show on HBO, titled ‘Behind the Candelabra’.

During the middle of his speech, Douglas took the time to quickly mention his son who is serving time in prison for charges related to drugs. Douglas mentioned his disappointment in the prison system in the United States. His son is in solitary confinement for two years & cannot have any visitors.

He expressed how he was initially disappointed in his son, but he realizes that he should be disappointed in the system because the United States has nearly 25 percent of the world’s prisoners, but only represents five percent of the world.

What do you think of Michael Douglas words on his son?
