Disney is ramping up production for a sequel to the hit Angelina Jolie movie, ‘Maleficent‘.
According to reports, Disney has just hired their go-to screenwriter Linda Woolverton to write the sequel to ‘Maleficent’.
Woolverton wrote the original script for ‘Maleficent,’ several years ago. ‘Maleficent’ is based on Disney’s animated feature film “Sleeping Beauty” and is told from the point of view of the villain Maleficent. It was a huge box office success raking in $750 million worldwide.
Woolverton credits include “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Lion King,” and “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey,” and the upcoming sequel to “Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking-Glass”.
I hope Woolverton follows Jimmy Kimmel’s lead and add 50 cent to the cast.
