Kevin Hart: ‘All the Black People Should Be in the First Row of the Oscars’

Date:

Kevin Hart pokes fun at the lack of diversity in Hollywood: “all the black people should be in the first row.’

The moment everyone is waiting for is nearly here – The 2016 Oscars. The official Academy Awards hashtag is already trending #Oscars2016, and celebrities are on their way to the Oscars as we speak to prepare for the biggest night in Hollywood.

While Leonardo DiCaprio is nervously waiting to see if he will actually win an award, thousands of people are going to be tuning in to see what Chris Rock will have to say about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy and the lack of diversity in Hollywood. But, Kevin Hart, the actor/comedian took the opportunity during rehearsals this morning to poke fun at the lack of diversity in the movie industry.

Kevin Hart said “all the black people should be in the front row”, according to Daily Mail.com

Speaking to nobody in particular, he quipped: ‘Where am I sitting? I was about to say all the black people should be in the first row.’

Kevin Hart may have been joking, but his statement underlines the biggest issue dominating this year’s 88th Academy Awards.

Until tonight’s Oscars, we will have to wait and see how much diversity plays in tonight’s award ceremony.
