JoJo Joins CW Series As Recurring Star in ‘All American’
Jojo has been cast in a recurring role on the CW’s All American, which is somewhat similar to her real life.
Jojo, formerly Joanna Levesque, will star as Sabine, a prominent recording artist who has been making music since she was 10 years old. She seeks a different sound and partners with Layla (Greta Onieogou) on her next album, putting her faith in the up-and-coming young music producer.
The 18-year-old JoJo is best known for her 2006 hit “Leave (Get Out),” which went to No. 1 on the Billboard charts when she was just 13 years old. She most recently released the single “I Can Only.”

All American follows high school football star Spencer James (Daniel Ezra), who is recruited to play for Beverly Hills High. The series also stars Taye Diggs, Samantha Logan, Bre-Z, and Monique Coleman.
Jojo has joined the cast of CW’s “All American” in a recurring role, the network announced Thursday.
The teen singer and actress, whose real name is Joanna Levesque, will play Sabine, “a prominent recording artist who has been making music since she was 10 years old. She seeks for a different sound and partners with Layla (Greta Onieogou) on her next album, putting her faith in the up-and-coming young music producer.”
She’ll make her first appearance in the February 21 return episode of Season 4.
during the 1990s, JoJo was a pop singer who sang songs about love and relationships. She debuted as a solo artist at age 13 with her self-titled debut album, which featured the hit “Leave (Get Out).” Jojo went on to sell over four million copies and became the youngest female solo act to have a number-one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Her 2021 capsule collection, Trying Not To Think About It, is a musical statement of her continuing honesty, vulnerability, and transparency regarding mental health, tackling the various hues of it – including anxiety, sadness, negative thinking habits. Following its debut, JoJo began a six-performance tour of the United States, which has been completely sold out. By 2022, she will begin a worldwide concert tour.
Jojo has appeared on numerous television shows, including Lethal Weapon and The Division. CAA and Warner Records are her representation companies.
The cast of the award-winning comedy is packed with notable actors. Daniel Ezra, Taye Diggs, Samantha Logan, Bre-Z, Greta Onieogou, Monet Mazur Laura Baker, Michael Evans Behling Jordan Baker, Cody Christian as Asher Adams, and Karimah Westbrook star in this drama about a close family facing the challenges of life in a tough neighborhood.
