Jena Malone was cut from the Batman v Superman theatrical release.
According to TheWrap, the Hunger Games actress has been cut from the theatrical release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, though her secret character will appear in the upcoming R-Rated extended cut on home video.
The details surrounding why Jena Malone’s scenes were cut from the original movie is a mystery, but rumors pegged her as Barbara Gordon, who had been injured when Wayne Tower collapsed at the end of Man of Steel.
It is also unclear why Jena Malone was cut from Batman v Superman even though the movie introduces a ton of characters including Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor especially over the course of a 2.5 hour movie.
It’s rumored that there was no room left to introducer her character into the movie.
The news was first reported when Zack Snyder told the Entertainment Weekly that the new Green Lantern will not appear in the DC Movie Universe until Justice League: Part 2.
Jena Malone has recently been on fire. She worked on the last two Hunger Games movies and stars in the upcoming movie The Neon Demon.
