James Woods Sues Twitter User for Calling Him a “Cocaine Addict”

Date:

Hollywood star James Woods is pissed that someone called him a “cocaine addict” on Twitter.

James Woods is probably one of the most popular character actors in Hollywood. He has played villains in several movies including ‘Casino’, ‘Nixon,’ ‘Ghosts of Mississippi’, and ‘White House Down’. Woods has nominated twice for an Academy Award and has won one Golden Globe Award. Additionally, he has won three Emmy Awards – for television movies ‘Promise’ and ‘My Name Is Bill W.’, and for the animated series ‘Hercules’.

His voice work has been heard in the animated series ‘The Simpsons’ and ‘Family Guy’, the video game ‘Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas’, and in films such as Disney’s ‘Hercules’ (as Hades).

Well recently, a Twitter user called the actor a “cocaine addict”. More specifically, “cocaine addict James Woods still sniffing and spouting.”

Not much is known about the Twitter troll, but The Hollywood Reporter made some guesses based on his or her’s now-deleted account: “The defendant’s social media profile suggests that he or she is based in Los Angeles, a partner in private equity, possibly Harvard educated and luckily, married to an attorney.”

Trolls are all over the Internet. But, according to THR, the burden of proof is on James Woods to prove the statement was made maliciously, while the troll would have to prove that James Woods actually does cocaine.

James Woods could have possibly blocked the troll and move on with his life instead of filing a multimillion-dollar lawsuit.
