‘Hitch’ is being made into a TV series for Fox.
Will Smith will executive produce the TV remake of the hit feature film, Hitch. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Fox is developing a half-hour comedy based on the Will Smith feature film Hitch.

Hitch was released in 2005 and centers around a professional date doctor. The new comedy will also be produced by Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Hitch was released in 2005 and made nearly $370 million in the box office. In 2007, Will Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment planned on creating a Hitch TV series but the series was never picked up. Now nearly eight years later, Will Smith has another chance of hooking up a TV pilot with a major network.

Hitch becomes the next of a series of remakes. Fox is reviving the TV series, Big and Monster-in-Law. While, CBS is producing a Rush Hour TV series. The idea is that with YouTube, Netflix, and other entertainment options, Hollywood is trying to compete by remaking successful movies and TV shows. Hey, if it’s not broken then don’t fix it.
