HBO Cancels ‘Boardwalk Empire’? HBO Will End the Series After the Fifth Season

HBO is calling it quits on their hit drama “Boardwalk Empire”

HBO says that they will cancel the “Boardwalk Empire” series after a fifth season this fall.

“Boardwalk Empire” stars Steve Buscemi as “Nucky” Thompson, the leader and dealer of the Prohibition-era in Atlantic City. The series won HBO five Emmy awards in September of 2013.

The creator Terry Winter commented on Thursday that the decision to wrap the show came after a long discussion with HBO and his creative team. He also stated that he is looking forward to bringing the series to an exciting ending and conclusion.
