‘Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington Reveals What to Expect in New Spinoff

Date:

Kit Harington Gives a Sneak Peak Into What Fans Can Look Forward To With Jon Snow in the ‘Game of Thrones’ Spinoff.

At a recent Game of Thrones convention in L.A., Kit Harington, the show’s titular actor, excitedly teased fans on what to expect from Jon Snow when the spinoff series airs. This was confirmed by George R.R. Martin, who credited Harrington as having come up with the idea for this sequel series – one that had been previously announced back in June!

Despite being unable to disclose the show’s progress, Harington discussed Jon Snow’s character development since Game of Thrones and what could happen after he destroyed Daenerys. Entertainment Weekly announced the panel at the convention, where Kit Harington said, “I think if you asked him, he would’ve felt he got off lightly. At the end of the show, when we find him in that cell, he’s preparing to be beheaded and wants to be. He’s done. The fact that he goes to the Wall is the greatest gift and curse.” Harington remains determined to explore his theories further.

“He’s gotta go back up to the place with all this history and live out his life thinking about how he killed Dany, and live out his life thinking about Ygritte dying in his arms, and live out his life thinking about how he hung Olly, and live out his life thinking about all of this trauma, and that… that’s interesting.”

Despite not mentioning the Jon Snow spinoff directly, Harington gave insight into his character’s mental state as the original show came to a close., “So I think where we leave him at the end of the show, there’s always this feeling of like…I think we wanted some kind of little smile that things are okay. He’s not okay.”

Currently, the spinoff is known as SNOW, and while a definite timeline has yet to be established, progress is underway.
