Universal Studio is rewriting the Fast & Furious 7 Movie to give a Special Tribute to Paul Walker
Paul Walker’s death has definitely cast doubt on the future of the Fast and Furious franchise, but according to recent reports, work on rewriting the next sequel is already underway.
Sources close to production of ‘Fast and Furious 7’ are commented that screenwriter Chris Morgan has begun revising the script. Production plans to use footage that has already been shot for Paul walker. The aim and goal is that the reworked script, cast and crew will be able to resume filming by late January. However, there is no guaranteed.

After a fiery car crash that took Paul Walker’s life last November, it is reported that Universal Studios would continue with production of Fast and Furious 7 as planned, however the direction of the film is currently put on indefinite hold. Fast and Furious 7 is directed by James Wan, and is scheduled to be released by July 2014. But many sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the release date will most likely be pushed back.
Universal has reported that they have invested about $150 million in the film, and half of Paul Walker’s scenes have already been shot. Executives are looking for the best way to use that footage.
“What will drive everything is, is there an honorable and sensible way to do this?” a source told THR, before admitting that “there’s not really a road map” for the dilemma the studio now faces.
