Extras Upgraded to Speaking Roles on Marvel new movie ‘Ant-Man’
While, Marvel is applying the finishing touches to the upcoming blockbuster, Ant-Man Extras Casting Director, New Life Casting reported that several background extras were upgraded to speaking roles. If you don’t know, Ant-Man centers on a scientist that enlists a thief to safeguard his size-changing technology, and also to create a superhero who will defend the world.

Getting upgraded from a background extra role to a speaking role is extremely rare, especially for major productions such as Marvel’s Ant-Man. But, this seems to be the start of a new trend in Hollywood movies. Will Smith’s new movie ‘Concussion’, which is filming in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania also had several background extras upgraded to speaking roles.
