Fans bash background extra for ruining a scene in the new Christopher Nolan movie Dunkirk.
Fans noticed something quite strange during the first trailer for Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated feature film Dunkirk.
One extra among a sea of 1,500 supporting background actors broke character as he was smiling while the rest of the cowered in fear at the sound of incoming German bombers flying above them in the minute long trailer.
Film fans took to Twitter following the debut of the trailer last Thursday to poke fun at the extra’s light heartened reaction to the approaching bombers.

I don’t know how an extra can laugh during a scene in #Dunkirk ! The immersion was so real that you have the impression of living the war.

I’m not an actor in Dunkirk, I’m just an extra. But my dream is to become an actor 🙂

Dunkirk centers around allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France who are surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in Word War II. The movie features Tom Hardy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance and Harry Styles.
