Disney planning on creating a Robin Hood Franchise similar to Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean.
In October, word broke that Sony Pictures is planning Hood, a “shared universe” take on the legendary folklore hero Robin Hood. It seems that Disney is creating their own version of Robin Hood movies. Deadline reports that the studio has acquired an original script from newcomer screenwriter, Brandon Barker, titled Nottingham & Hood. According to reports, Barker’s version is going to be similar to Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean and the movie will spin the feature film into a multi-film franchise.
Hollywood, loves Robin Hood movies. Russell Crowe and Kevin Costner both played the Robin Hood character. But, nobody loves Robin Hood more than Disney. In 1973, Walt Disney Animation Studios released an animated feature film version of the story set in a world of talking animals.
