Deadpool may be gay in the next Deadpool movie.
One of the reasons why Deadpool is so popular in the comic book world is that he does whatever he wants. That extends to his sex life, and it’s something his movies may illustrate in the future.
The creative team for the movie was asked on whether or not Deadpool would have a boyfriend and everyone seems pretty open to it. Ryan Reynolds, director Tim Miller, and producer Simon Kinberg, when asked about it, all said they would like to see it happen, and the script makes subtle references to it despite it being a movie about saving the girl.
Deadpool might be in a unique place to make this movie actually happen.
Typically, the big stopping point to gay leads isn’t moviegoers in America. The biggest issue is foreign filmgoers. Hollywood makes a lot of money from International box offices, China in particular, and they’re worried about alienating them.
But because Deadpool is already banned in China, and Fox is expected to make millions off the movie anyway, it may become a non-issue. Deadpool can be as wild and politically incorrect as he wants to be.
That being said, who can play Deadpool’s boyfriend in the next movie? Hugh Jackman?
