Scams in the Entertainment Industry
The entertainment industry is filled with scams and crooks interested in making a dollar off of innocent people. Most recently, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office has convicted a talent manager for illegally charging $110,000 for representing actors, models, and talent. Hollywood talent manager, Deborah Brazil was convicted for illegally charging $110,000 for representing a female singer.
According to Frontrunner Casting, fake talent agents are e-mailing aspiring actors and models in South Florida to work on the new season of USA Network’s ‘Graceland’.
But cities like Los Angeles, California are trying their best to stop it. “Thousands come to Hollywood every year to pursue their dreams in the entertainment industry,” said Los Angeles City Attorney Mike Feuer. “We need to protect them from those who would dash those dreams by taking unfair advantage of them.”
