‘Celebrity Apprentice’ is a Ratings Flop

Date:

The Celebrity Apprentice is not doing well without Donald Trump.

According to reports, Celebrity Apprentice was a ratings dud. The previous winter season premiere starring Donald Trump in January 2015 had a solid 2.4 rating in the key 18 to 49 demographic and 6.8 million total viewers. Those were better numbers than Monday’s 1.3 and 4.9 million viewers. So what happened?

The biggest argument is that Celebrity Apprentice premiered on a Sunday evening, when there was a greater chance to get a larger audience and far less competition. In addition, ABC’s 2017 season premiere of The Bachelor was broadcast’s biggest demo  bully on Monday with 6.6 million viewers.

Another challenge was the Rose Bowl, which turned out to be a ratings hit.
