Millie Bobby Brown is not letting Instagram haters bother her.
The Stranger Things actress, 14, received criticism from social media commentators after she posted a photo of herself on Instagram on Saturday. In the photo, Brown posed in a snakeskin print dress with yellow accents. She wrote alongside the images, “Write a caption,” and that’s when the internet started chiming in.
The outfit seemed to be too much for some of Millie Bobby Brown’s Instagram followers, who were quick to say the actress is growing up too fast.
“When you hit puberty and think you’re 25,” one commenter wrote. “Another said, “Act your age.” Someone else commented, “You’re like 12 where tf is your mother.”
But Brown is not worried about her followers. However, in an Instagram story, she quickly fought back writing, “ik everyone on my last pic wants me to “act my age” but quite frankly its my instagram and if I choose to post that picture and you don’t like it… scroll past it).”
By Monday, many of the hateful comments were deleted and replaced with several comments in support of the Stranger Things actress.
“She is dressed perfectly fine. Nothing is showing except her legs and she can dress the way she wants to. Get a grip,” one commenter replied.
Millie Bobby Brown became famous after her role as Eleven on the hit Netflix show. The third season of Stranger Things returns to Netflix on July 4, 2019.
