Judge Denies ‘Midnight Rider’ Director’s Early Release from Jail

A judge in has denied Midnight Rider  Randall Miller‘s request to get released from jail early.

Miller was sentenced in to two years in Wayne County jail after pleading guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter and trespass stemming from the February 20th train on the set of , which camera assistant was killed and eight others were , according to Deadline.

Through his attorneys, Miller had sought early release citing declining and good behavior while serving his sentence. His motion was later opposed by prosecutors and Sarah Jones’ .

Miller may still be eligible for early release after serving one year of his sentence. His attorneys have said that all parties reached a plea agreement with the understanding that the sheriff of Wayne County would apply a “good time credit.”

Miller’s sentence also includes an eight year probation period.
